Anna Troy has been wowing Bay Area audiences since 2021 with her blazing guitar work and soulful vocals, think Amy Winehouse meets Bonnie Raitt. Her songwriting, a mix of blues, jazz and rock, was taken to new heights by her music training from Columbia University. While living in Brooklyn for twelve years, she performed with the Columbia jazz ensemble at Symphony Space, fronted her blues band at B.B. Kings, and shared the stage with her sister Lindsey’s band, Deap Vally, at the Mercury Lounge. Prior to attending Columbia, she spent many years as a gigging musician in Southern California where she released two self-produced albums and opened for international acts like The Yardbirds, Johnny Winter and America. All of this was preempted by her years as a teenager signed to Elektra Records as sister pop duo The Troys.
She is also in the band Bagwell & Troy that keeps a busy schedule of gigs in the Bay Area. They play original Americana music and classic blues and country tunes while trading vocals and witty banter to audiences from Santa Cruz to the Russian River and everywhere in between.
